At Unity Health Care our pediatricians care for children of all ages. Care includes sick and well child visits, physical exams, and sports physicals, and disease management for children suffering from chronic illnesses, such as asthma and diabetes. Many of our pediatric providers see patients until their 21st birthday. Our Family Medicine Providers also can support kids, teens, and their families.

Our Family Medicine services include:

Family Medicine Family medicine offers continuity of care throughout a patient’s life or for people of many ages within one family, from newborn to adult. Care includes preventive and wellness health services, reproductive health services, acute sick care and management of chronic health conditions.

  • Annual physicals and checkups
  • Healthy lifestyle assessments, such as nutrition assessments
  • Health screenings for conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and sexually transmitted disease. Cancer screenings are available based on your risk.
  • Immunizations, like your annual flu and covid shots and other routine vaccinations as well as necessary children’s vaccinations.
  • Newborn check-ups
  • Referrals to specialists when needed
  • Sick visits for when you don’t feel well
  • Treatment and management of acute and chronic conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, asthma, and HIV

HealthySteps Program:

HealthySteps is an evidence-based pediatric primary care model that works with children ages 0-3 and their families to promote early childhood development and positive parenting. HealthySteps works to ensure that children receive tailored services based on their needs by working with a HealthySteps Specialist, a child development provider, who provides interventions, resource referrals, and closely follows up with family.
