Email Restoration Effort - Email 3
I wanted to provide you with an update about the repairs to the e-mail system.
Over the last several days, the IT team has explored avenues to retrieve missing email and at this time has determined that we will not be able to retrieve old information (emails, folders, calendar, and contacts) if you only used webmail (i.e. clicked on the “mail” link on Unity Web Links) to access your email.
If you used a desktop based Outlook it is likely but not guaranteed that you can retrieve some, but not all of your information. If you use a desktop version and do not have access to your old information please contact the IT Support team at 202-299-1700 or via email at ITSupport@unityhealthcare.org. We are still working on a process to merge the emails of people who have old data available in the desktop version with the new online accounts. There will be more to come on that in the next couple of days.
The IT and Executive Management Teams are deeply sorry for the disruption that this will have on you as you work to obtain the lost information. We know that email is a major way of communicating at Unity and many of us use it to store information as well. In order help provide tools and forms that may have been lost with the emails we have developed a password protected microsite to put the information in one place. You can access the site at:
Please feel free to reach out to me or my staff if there is anything more we can do to help you get back to normal operations as soon as possible.
